Our rental fleet consists of 20′ and 40′ ground level storage containers, 20’ and 40’ office containers and 28′-53′ dry van trailers. We rent units by the month and bring them to you. We deliver within a 150 mile radius of our location of Wilmington, NC.
Our containers are either 20′ or 40′ in length. Standard units are 8′ wide and 8.5′ tall. We also have 40′ hi-cube units that are one foot taller for an overall outside height of 9.5′. In addition, we have 40′ ground level office/storage combination units that feature 16′ of office space and 24′ of storage space, 20’ office containers with 19’ of office space and 40’ office containers that are all office space. We do carry 40’ containers with doors on both ends.
Our trailers are dry van units and are 28′, 48′ or 53′ in length. Trailers are another option to meet your on-site storage needs. Most trailers are roll-up doors, but we do have some available with swing doors. Road use trailers are available in certain applications. Insurance certificates are required, and no out-of-state use is allowed. These are dock height and work well for grocery, retail, and distribution customers.
Delivery Requirements
We deliver our containers and trailers directly to you at your job site or needed location. We employ our own drivers and own all our equipment. We have single axle trucks and operate 42′ hydraulic rollback drop-deck flatbeds to deliver our containers. Our drivers are long-time employees with our company and are knowledgeable in their jobs. They are available to assist in proper placement of containers on job sites.
To deliver a 40’ container, we need to be able to back the container into place and have a straight shot of 100’ to drop the end and pull out from underneath the container. 20’ containers require an 80’ straight shot to be able to drop the end and pull out from underneath. The width of the area also needs to be at least 12’ wide and at least 13.5’ of height clearance. Containers are tilted at a 45-degree angle when dropped. We also offer small rollback truck deliveries to accommodate tighter delivery areas for an additional fee.
Ground Conditions
The ground where containers are dropped needs to be solid and level in order for us to have a successful delivery. Unlevel ground can result in the doors not closing properly. This may make it hard or impossible to lock. Leveling of the ground should be done prior to delivery. We have single axle trucks that can get stuck easily, so the ground also needs to be dry. Wet, sandy, and muddy ground is not ideal for container deliveries.
Delivery Recommendations
We also recommend placing containers on treated lumber, railroad ties or something similar to get it elevated off the ground a little. This will help to prevent condensation issues. When temperatures are warm outside, it gets hot inside which can result in condensation. Raising the container off the ground and allowing airflow underneath will help with this. This material is to be provided by the customer. You can place blocks on each corner of the container or running the full width of the container at each end.
If you are placing the container on new asphalt, placing plywood underneath is highly recommended. This should be onsite when the container is delivered.
